English Announces Committee Assignments for 2017-18 Session
HARRISBURG – Rep. Hal English (R-Allegheny) today announced he will serve on the House Education, Judiciary, Game and Fisheries, and Insurance committees during the new session of the Pennsylvania General Assembly.
“I am pleased to be returning to serve on the House Education committee to continue work to improve our schools for students, parents and all residents of Pennsylvania,” said English. “I will continue to work in a bipartisan manner with my colleagues to achieve the best possible public policy for the Commonwealth.”
English said he is returning for another term on the House Game and Fisheries Committee, and his new assignments are with the House Judiciary and Insurance committees.
“The committee process is vital to lawmaking as members on both sides of the aisle participate in meetings and hearings as the first step in vetting important legislation,” said English. “There are challenges to be faced in this new session as state government looks to improve laws and programs while bringing about fiscal stability.”
