HARRISBURG –
Rep. Alex Charlton (R-Delaware) today took the oath of office and was sworn into this first term as a member the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Charlton represents the 165th District, which includes Morton Borough and the townships of Maple, Radnor and Springfield.

Charlton’s top legislative priorities include tax reduction, economic development, promoting private-sector job creation, strengthening education and fighting to protect people living with disabilities and their families.

“Small-and-medium sized businesses are the primary engines of job creation, and I’ll be working on initiatives to encourage investment by entrepreneurs to expand employment opportunities in Delaware County,” said Charlton. “Additionally, the preservation of open space in our region is important to me, as well as helping those who have disabilities or special needs gain access to human services programs that improve their quality of life.”

Prior to his election, Charlton was chief of staff to Sen. Tom McGarrigle (R-Chester/Delaware) and previously served as president of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.

Charlton’s district office is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 905 West Sproul Road, Suite 203, in Springfield. He can be reached by calling (610) 544-9878 or through his website at RepCharlton.com and Facebook page at Facebook.com/RepCharlton.
