Corr Takes Oath as New Representative for 150th District

HARRISBURG – Joined by his family in the state Capitol, state Rep. Michael Corr (R-Montgomery) today took the oath of office, beginning his tenure as the legislator for Pennsylvania’s 150th Legislative District in Montgomery County.

“I’m honored to serve the people in our district and excited about this new opportunity,” Corr said. “I look forward to working on the big issues facing our Commonwealth, including education funding fairness, public pension reform and state budget optimization.”

Corr has 30 years of private-sector experience as a certified public accountant and lawyer.

He served as a senior manager at a large financial services firm that partnered with 30 states to help families save for higher education through 529 college savings plans. He also served as a private practice attorney where he helped families and employers with legal matters and tax planning issues. He has experience working as an audit and tax compliance specialist with major accounting firms that provided services to Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and individuals.

“I’m used to dealing with complex issues and working to develop solutions,” Corr said. “I’m eager to put my experience to work for the people in our district.”

Corr’s wife, Amy, and their three young children, Michael, Owen and Carissa, were there as he took the oath of office.

The 150th Legislative District is located in Montgomery County and consists of the townships of Lower Providence and Skippack, the borough of Collegeville, and parts of the townships of Upper Providence and West Norriton.
