Peifer: Increasing Taxes for Working Pennsylvanians and Small Businesses During Pandemic is Absolutely Shameful
HARRISBURG – Rep. Mike Peifer (R-Pike/Wayne) released the following statement in response to today’s pre-recorded budget address given by Gov. Tom Wolf.
“It is completely baffling that at a time where in Washington D.C. Congress is currently discussing a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package aimed at helping families and businesses recover from this pandemic, yet here in Pennsylvania our governor wants to raise taxes by almost 50% on these hardworking families and businesses,” said Peifer. “He should be focused on providing additional avenues for Pennsylvanians to get assistance during these trying times, not further burying them in financial ruin.”
