State House Honors CB South’s Ice Hockey Victory, Watson Says

HARRISBURG – To celebrate the Central Bucks High School South’s second state ice hockey championship, Rep. Kathy Watson (R-Bucks/144th) today welcomed the athletes and coaches to the state Capitol for recognition by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Specifically, the team was honored for earning the 2016 Class AA Pennsylvania Cup Ice Hockey Championship – the second Pennsylvania Cup for Central Bucks South. In doing so, the team became the third Suburban High School Hockey League team to win the championship in the past six years.
“These players have a lot of talent, but they’ve also learned the value of hard work and determination under the leadership of their head coach, Tom Coyne, and assistant coaches Shaun McGinty, Tyler Skroski and Kevin Carter,” Watson told her House colleagues. “I commend each of you for devoting so much time and energy into helping these young men develop both their athletic skills and a strong work ethic that will carry them far in their academic and professional lives.”
At the March championship game, the Titans found themselves down by a score of 2-1 against Bishop Canevin High School before going on a five-goal scoring spree in the second period, ultimately winning the game 7-3.

Members of the team include Jared Conroy, Damon DeLaurentis, Aaron King, Connor Matsinger, Alex Rubas, Thomas Liberta, Ryan Boylan, Nick Smith, Jason Bechtel, Josh Sklar, Jackson Koblick, Kevin Dorozinsky, Jake Anastasia, Joseph DeLaurentis, Evan King, Matt Stoll, Frank Carter and Nick Morelli. Rounding out the team is manager Adam Sklar.
