Kaufer Says Governor Will Accept General Assembly’s Latest Budget
HARRISBURG – Following Gov. Tom Wolf’s press conference today, where he announced he will allow the General Assembly’s latest budget attempt to become law, Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) made the following statement:
“Today, the governor announced he will accept the Legislature’s most recent attempt to finalize the 2015-16 state budget. This is good news for Pennsylvania, especially for our school districts, medical, correction and agriculture fields. Moving forward, we must ensure that budget negotiations occur in a timely manner so that we do not see a repeat of this fiscal year. The next step is the 2016-17 budget.”
