Cutler Questions Budget Attempt by House Democrats
7/14/2025
HARRISBURG –Rep. Bryan Cutler (R-Peach Bottom) released the following statement after House Bill 1330 was passed today as a potential framework for the state’s 2025-26 budget:

“Today’s move by House Democrats to advance a budget bill is not a realistic attempt to complete an agreed-to spending plan that serves the goals of the House and the Senate, but most importantly, Pennsylvania’s taxpayers.

“The current proposal does not include a fiscal sheet to show this budget’s potential impact, and at best, the proposal would operate at a significant deficit.

“I worked too hard to balance prior budgets to support this current product. It is unsustainable, incomplete and frankly denies the current fiscal realities Pennsylvania faces.”

The House passed House Bill 1330 on a 105-to-97 vote and sent it to the Senate for the upper chamber’s consideration.
