Policy Committee, Mihalek to Host Hearing on Pennsylvania’s Child Care Crisis
WHAT: House Republican Policy Committee Chairman David H. Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata), Rep. Natalie Mihalek (R-Allegheny) and other lawmakers will host a hearing titled “Child Care Challenges and Solutions” to discuss the obstacles the child care industry faces in Pennsylvania and how we can modernize regulations and staff eligibility requirements so that child care businesses can thrive and working parents can access reliable, affordable child care.
WHO: Testifiers include Emily Neff, director of public policy, Trying Together; Abigail Enz-Doerschner, M.S.Ed, assistant director, Once Upon A Time Early Learning Center; and Jessica Lausch, vice president of youth development, YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh.
