REMINDER: Cook to Introduce Legislation, Give Updates to Bills and Discuss Other Initiatives at Upcoming Press Conference
WHAT: Rep. Bud Cook (R-Greene/Washington) plans to discuss several topics during an upcoming press conference. Topics will include legislation he has written, initiatives he is working on and other important issues that impact people living in the 50th District and all of Pennsylvania.
The legislation Cook will introduce involves taking Local Share Account out of the control of the counties and putting that responsibility solely in the hands of the state. Cook will also highlight bills to modernize tire recycling (
House Bill 1035) and to ban public officials convicted of a felony from becoming lobbyists (
House Bill 1737).
WHEN: Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m.
WHERE: 338 Phillips St., Charleroi. (Media attending is advised to take the Speers Exit, which is Exit 39 off Interstate 70 to get to the press conference location.)
