Struzzi, Policy Committee Host Policy Hearing on Rural Health Care Challenges and Solutions in Indiana County

WHAT:    House Republican Policy Committee Chairman David H. Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata), Rep. Jim Struzzi (R-Indiana), and other lawmakers will host a hearing titled “Overcoming Challenges in Rural Health Care” to examine how Indiana County is responding to the unique challenges facing rural health care. The hearing will focus on workforce shortages, access to care, affordability, and long-term sustainability in rural communities.

WHO:    Testifiers will include Michael Driscoll, president, Indiana University of Pennsylvania; Joe Gribik, president & CEO, Pennsylvania Mountains Healthcare Alliance; Arielle Chortanoff, vice president, State Advocacy, The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania; Miko Rose, DO, FNAOME, founding dean, Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) College of Osteopathic Medicine; Lara Luetkehans, PhD, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, IUP; Stephen Wolfe, president & CEO, Indiana Regional Medical Center (IRMC); James Kinneer, PhD, chief human resources officer, IRMC.
