Kerwin Announces Committee Assignments
HARRISBURG - Rep. Joe Kerwin (R-Dauphin/Schuylkill) has announced his assignment to the Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Game and Fisheries, Gaming Oversight and Liquor Control committees for the 2021-22 Legislative Session.
“I am excited to get to work,” said Kerwin. “These committees determine the legislation that will ultimately come to the floor of the House, where my fellow lawmakers and I can determine how to better assist all Pennsylvanians. I look forward to the mix of committees I have been assigned to, from Pennsylvania’s No. 1 industry of agriculture down to Liquor Control, each committee is instrumental in the functioning of this body.”
The House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee deals with an array of legislation directly affecting the state’s farmers and farming operations. It also handles issues impacting the timber industry, horse and harness racing regulations, food safety and restaurant inspections, Dog Law enforcement and kennel licensure, the use of pesticides, and the administration of state-funded programs to promote agriculture in Pennsylvania.
