House ERE Committee to Examine Electromagnetic Pulse Attacks, Solar Flares and Security Threats to National Electric Grid 
                            
                            
                                WHAT:     PA House Environmental Resources and Energy (ERE) Committee Majority Chairman Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) will convene an informational meeting to receive testimony on protecting the power grid of the United States against electromagnetic pulse (EMPs) attacks, solar flares and other national security threats.
WHO:     The meeting will feature presentations from Dr. Emanuel Bernabeu, PJM Interconnection; Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission Chairman Gladys Brown Dutrieuille; Dr. Randy Horton, Electric Power Research Institute; and Tom Hofstetter, North American Electric Reliability Corporation.
