Owlett Takes Oath of Office as State Representative of 68th District

HARRISBURG – Rep. Clint Owlett (R-Tioga/Bradford/Potter) took the oath of office today during a special ceremony in the House chamber. He was elected to office during a special election May 15 following the retirement of former Rep. Matt Baker.
“I am truly humbled by the opportunity I have been given to represent the people of the 68th Legislative District,” said Owlett. “I look forward to hitting the ground running and working on some of the issues important to those living and working in the Northern Tier, such as agriculture and the dairy crisis, the opioid epidemic, job creation and taxes.”

Owlett grew up on a dairy farm in Tioga County and worked at his family’s store, Owlett’s Sunshine Farm Market in Wellsboro, before going on to start his own successful decorative concrete and construction business in 2012. He currently lives in Liberty with his wife, Lauren, and their four young children, Colton, Calvin, Anna and Chase.
“I am excited for Clint Owlett to join the House of Representatives,” House Speaker Mike Turzai said. “As a small business owner, Clint will help bring financial discipline to Harrisburg for the people of the 68th House district.”
The 68th Legislative District includes all of Tioga County and parts of both Bradford and Potter counties.
Owlett’s district offices are located at 74 Main St. in Wellsboro, telephone (570) 724-1390, and 121 Canton St. in Troy, telephone (570) 297-3045. Both offices are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4:30 p.m.
