Roe Sworn in as State Representative
1/3/2017
HARRISBURG – Today, Rep. Eric Roe (R-Chester) took the oath of office for his first term in the Pennsylvania House during a ceremony at the Capitol in Harrisburg. Joining him on the House floor were his wife, Alice Gayle; his parents, Mark and Mary Beth Roe; and other supporters and local officials.

“It’s humbling to realize so many people in our district placed their trust in me to serve as their voice in Harrisburg,” said Roe. “I will do my best to serve with dignity and honor, ever mindful of those who sent me here.”

Roe laid out his legislative vision for the upcoming session, committing to work for policies to overhaul Pennsylvania’s system of property taxation, reform the state’s public pension systems, strengthen education, and foster an environment promoting job creation.

“I pledge to work to make Pennsylvania the most family-friendly, business-friendly state in the country,” said Roe. “We can accomplish that in part by making government smaller, more transparent and accountable to taxpayers.”

Roe also announced the opening of his district office in Suite 407 at 400 Old Forge Lane in Kennett Square. The office is open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Roe can be reached by calling (717) 783-1574 or through his website at RepEricRoe.com. He can also be found on Facebook at Facebook.com/RepEricRoe.

Roe represents the 158th District, which includes the borough of Avondale and the townships of East Bradford, East Marlborough, London Britain, New Garden, Newlin, West Bradford, West Goshen and West Marlborough.

Raised in Chester County, Roe graduated from West Chester Henderson High School before earning degrees from American University in Washington, D.C., and University College London in the United Kingdom.

Prior to his election, Roe served as an administrative analyst for Chester County Commissioner Michelle Kichline and was a fellow at the John Jay Institute. He also served as a special assistant at the Chertoff Group, a homeland security consulting firm led by former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.
