“This award is a great honor and there is much we can do as we continue to work together to foster a more productive business climate,” Turzai said. “PDI is a great organization and a great help moving Pennsylvania’s legal defense issues forward.”
During each legislative session, PDI’s board of directors reviews legislation and policy issues introduced by the General Assembly that have a direct impact on the legal defense of Pennsylvanians.
“Speaker Turzai is being honored because he embodies those qualities that PDI looks for in our legislators,” said Louis Long, PDI president. “He puts partisanship aside and works with members on both sides of the aisle in the House and Senate to advance the issues of the legal defense in Pennsylvania.”
PDI is one of the largest organizations of its kind in the United States. Organized in December 1969, it now boasts a membership that devotes a substantial portion of its time to defense of personal injury and property damage lawsuits, insurance coverage matters and claims administration.
“I thank PDI for recognizing my efforts,” Turzai added.
