Metzgar to Designate Memorial Bridge in Honor of Local Hero

WHAT: The bridge located on T.R. 413 on Grasser Road in Juniata Township, Bedford County, over the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River at the intersection of New Baltimore Road, will be designated the Army Specialist Four Harold Phillip Grasser Memorial Bridge. Grasser, a Manns Choice native, was killed in action on April 30, 1968, during the Vietnam War at the South Vietnam Go Cong Province.

Topper to Host Bridge Dedication for Local World War II Hero

Imler served our nation in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was killed in action in 1944 at age 29.
