Local Leaders Collaborate to Advance Community Projects in Pike and Wayne Counties

HARRISBURG – State grant funding totaling $1.35 million has been awarded for 12 projects in communities across Pike and Wayne counties, according to Sen. Lisa Baker (R-Luzerne/Pike/Susquehanna/Wayne/Wyoming), Reps. Jonathan Fritz (R-Susquehanna/Wayne), Rosemary Brown (R-Pike/Monroe) and Mike Peifer (R-Pike/Wayne). Each were crucial in securing these funds for the region.

Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade, Klunk Comments

HARRISBURG - The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade, a 1973 decision that struck down a Texas statute banning abortion, effectively legalizing the procedure across the country. Since that has been overruled, decisions regarding the legality of abortion procedures will be up to individual states to determine and regulate. State Rep. Chris Gebhard (R-Dauphin/Lebanon/York), will hold a REAL ID seminar in Lebanon to inform constituents about the REAL ID law and the process for obtaining a REAL ID before next spring. Enforcement of the REAL ID Act will begin May 3, 2023.
