MCMURRAY – In an effort to recognize area veterans, Rep. Natalie Mihalek (R-Allegheny/Washington) will host a recognition breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 9-11 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Suites Pittsburgh South, located at 164 Fort Couch Road, in Pittsburgh. Liquor Control Committee to Consider Two Bills

WHAT: The House Liquor Control Committee, chaired by Rep. Jeff Pyle (R-Armstrong/Butler/Indiana), will hold a voting meeting to consider two proposals. They are measures to allow hotel liquor licenses issued before 1949 to be sold as restaurant licenses (House Bill 1617) and allow club licenses, just like restaurant licenses, to remain in safekeeping for up to two years and subsequent years for an additional fee (House Bill 1886).

Saylor Appointed to National Guard Youth Challenge Advisory Board

HARRISBURG – Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) was appointed as a member of the National Guard Youth Challenge Advisory Board. The National Guard Youth Challenge program is an initiative designed to help at-risk youth in the Commonwealth. The program was established in law by Act 51 of 2018, which was authored by Saylor.

Borowicz Successfully Secures $125,000 to Help Restore Safe and Clean Water to Snow Shoe and Surrounding Areas

Stephanie Borowicz (R-Centre/Clinton) announced today that she has successfully secured a $125,000 Local Municipal Relief grant from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to assist Mountaintop Regional Water Authority in restoring safe and clean drinking water to about 1,300 homes and businesses in Burnside Township, Snow Shoe Township, Snow Shoe Borough and surrounding areas.
