HARRISBURG – Rep. John Lawrence (R-Chester/Lancaster) announced today that Oxford Borough will receive a $736,000 state grant for sidewalk repair and safety improvements. Nearly 9,000 linear feet of sidewalk and curbing will be installed in areas where none exist or where deterioration dictates the need for replacement. ADA compliant ramps will also be installed where appropriate.

WHAT: House Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) and officials with Philadelphia Charters for Excellence (PCE) will host charter school parents, students and educators at the state Capitol to rally against Gov. Tom Wolf’s proposal to drastically cut funding to Pennsylvania’s charter schools. Philadelphia has the state’s largest concentration of charter schools. The schools are in such demand in the city that more than 30,000 students are on charter school waitlists.
