Major Announces Impact Fee Amounts for 60th District

HARRISBURG – Almost $2.187 million in impact fees paid by Marcellus Shale drilling companies will benefit residents of the 60th District, either through direct disbursements to municipalities or Armstrong and Westmoreland counties at large, said Rep. Abby Major (R-Armstrong/Westmoreland).

Legislation to Protect Firefighters’ Income Passes House

HARRISBURG – The House of Representatives today on a unanimous vote passed legislation that would exempt income tax on length-of-service awards for volunteer firefighters, according to state Reps. Joe Kerwin and Justin Fleming, who introduced the bipartisan bill.

Grimm Krupa: Nearly $949,000 in Natural Gas Impact Fees for 51st District

SMITHFIELD – Rep. Charity Grimm Krupa (R-Fayette) announced today Fayette County will receive more than $608,000 in impact fees from the natural gas industry. In addition, the municipalities in the 51st Legislative District will receive an additional sum of nearly $341,000.
