Wentling Announces World War II Veterans to Receive France’s Highest Honor

Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today World War II veterans William Alfonsi of Hermitage and Dominick Aluisia of New Castle will be awarded the French Legion d’honneur, France’s highest distinction, on Friday, Aug. 23, in Courtroom No. 2 of the Mercer County Courthouse at 3 p.m.

State Grants Awarded for Street Improvements in 116th Legislative District, Say Watro, Argall

HARRISBURG – State funding totaling more than $1.1 million for transportation infrastructure improvement projects in the Hazleton area and Kline Township, Schuylkill County, were awarded today, according to Rep. Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Sen. David Argall (R-Schuylkill/Carbon/Luzerne). The two lawmakers played a key role in securing the grants through PennDOT’s Multimodal Transportation Fund.

Wentling Announces $330,000 in Grant Funding Toward Local Transportation Project
