HARRISBURG – After voting today for the $34 billion state budget approved by the House that funds core elements of state government without raising taxes, state Rep. Mark Gillen (R-Berks/Lancaster) issued the following statement:
“We were able to make record state investments in education, from pre-kindergarten through college, while also putting hundreds of millions of dollars into our state savings account. School safety and special education services once again have been prioritized without raising core state taxes. We all benefit from our local public libraries and community colleges, and this budget would provide them with additional help.”
