HARRISBURG – Rep. Thomas Murt (R-Montgomery) announced his support for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Month yesterday at the State Capitol with House Resolution 448.
“I am hoping to expand awareness and to inform people of the dangers that alcohol can have on a pregnancy by passing this resolution” said Murt.
House Resolution 448 will recognize September 2019 as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Month in the Commonwealth.
“This syndrome is completely preventable and by declaring September as Fetal Alcohol Awareness Month in Pennsylvania, we will be taking an important step forward in educating women who consume alcohol and are, or could become, pregnant,” said Murt.
