HARRISBURG— Rep. Warren Kampf (R-Chester/Montgomery) has been named the chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Fiscal Policy. He will also serve on the House Consumer Affairs, Insurance, Appropriations and Liquor Policy Committees.

As the subcommittee chair on Appropriations, Kampf will play a role in examining tax and spending policy and other fiscal matters such as government debt.

“It is an honor to serve the people of the Commonwealth in this role,” Kampf said. “Fiscal policy touches on the many components of state government which in turn help Pennsylvania’s families, our job creators and seniors.”

Kampf was appointed to the House Appropriations Committee in 2015 and was a vocal proponent of a fair and balanced budget that did not raise taxes on families. “My continued role on the Appropriations Committee allows me to ensure that each state agency is using the taxpayers’ money in a judicious and appropriate manner,” Kampf said. “I also look forward to continuing the work on the Consumer Affairs, Insurance and Liquor Control committees that we had started in previous sessions.”

The Pennsylvania State House returned to session Jan. 23.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues and exchanging ideas on the broad issues that face us whether on taxation debt or state spending. We have the opportunity to make recommendations which will impact every Pennsylvania taxpayer and also make sure every dollar they send us is well-spent,” Kampf said.
