HARRISBURG – Rep. Carl Walker Metzgar (R-Bedford/Somerset) was sworn in to office today in the House, marking the beginning of the 2017-18 session of the Pennsylvania General Assembly.
“I am honored to continue to serve the people of the 69th Legislative District in the House of Representatives,” Metzgar said. “I look forward to continuing to make sure their voices are heard in Harrisburg.”
Metzgar said he will continue to work to hold state spending down and to protect the constitutional rights of our citizens.
“It is with heavy hearts today that members were sworn in to serve during the 201st Legislative Session. My thoughts and prayers are with Trooper Landon Weaver's family,” Metzgar said.
