HARRISBURG – Rep. Kate Klunk (R-Hanover) took the oath of office today, officially beginning her second term representing the 169th Legislative District in the House of Representatives.
“Today’s swearing-in ceremony brought back a flood of memories from when I took the oath for the first time just two years ago. It also served as a time to renew my commitment to work hard for all residents of the 169th District,” Klunk said. “I learned a lot and grew as a lawmaker during my first term in office. But I remain unchanged in my dedication to making sure the constituents of southwestern York County have a strong voice in Harrisburg.”
Protecting taxpayers from unnecessary tax increases remains a priority for Klunk. She will also continue efforts to bring fiscal discipline to state government, family-sustaining jobs to Pennsylvania workers, property tax relief to homeowners and quality educational opportunities to children.
“I go into my second term with an optimism that representatives from both sides of the aisle can work together, along with the Senate and governor, to make Pennsylvania an even better place to work and raise a family,” Klunk said. “Though there undoubtedly will challenges ahead, I look forward to working through them.”
