Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Crawford/Erie/Lawrence/Mercer) took the oath of office today to represent the 17th House District.
HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Crawford/Erie/Lawrence/Mercer) was sworn in to office today, marking the start of his second term, as well as the start of the 2017-18 session of the Pennsylvania General Assembly.

“It is an honor to continue to represent the 17th Legislative District, which is geographically one of the largest districts in the state, in the House of Representatives,” Wentling said. “The trust constituents placed with me is not taken lightly. I will continue to make sure their voices are championed in Harrisburg.”

The day also included a joint session of the House and Senate to ratify the election results.

Wentling will continue to protect taxpayers from unneeded tax increases during the new legislative session. His other priorities include attracting good-paying, family-sustaining jobs to the northwestern region of the state.

“Ensuring good jobs for our workers has been and remains a core principle. Such jobs lead to a prosperous economy,” Wentling said. “Aiding residents with state-related issues is another top priority. My staff and I at my three offices in the district stand at the ready to help residents.”
