HARRISBURG – The state House approved a resolution authored by Rep. Todd Polinchock (R-Bucks) to make the Month of October 2020 “Dysautonomia Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania.
“By recognizing October 2020 as Dysautonomia Awareness Month, we are increasing awareness and potentially saving lives by getting earlier diagnoses and treatments,” Polinchock said. “I will continue to support those diagnosed with Dysautonomia in any way I am able.”
Dysautonomia is a group of medical conditions that result in a malfunction of the autonomic nervous system, which is responsible for automatic bodily functions, such as respiration, heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, temperature control and more.
House Resolution 1049 was adopted by the state House on Nov. 19.
