Lawmaker appointed to powerful House Appropriation Committee
HARRISBURG - Rep. Chris Quinn (R-Delaware) took the oath of office for another term representing the 168th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives yesterday. The veteran lawmaker was elected to his third full term in November.

“This office is a public trust. It belongs to the citizens of the district,” said Quinn. “I am humbled by the confidence expressed by the voters in re-electing me to represent them.”

The Delaware County lawmaker was also appointed to the House Appropriations Committee. The Appropriations Committee is the first stop for the annual state budget and all legislation that involves state expenditures.

The 168th Legislative District includes Media and Chester Heights boroughs as well as Middletown, Edgemont, Newtown, Upper Providence and Thornbury townships, and part of Marple Township.

“Pennsylvanians and our state face unprecedented challenges as we start the new legislative session,” noted Quinn. “It’s imperative we contain COVID-19, support those adversely affected by the pandemic, and jumpstart our Commonwealth’s economy.

“As I have throughout my service in the state House, I stand ready to work with all of my colleagues, both Republicans and Democrats, to tackle the challenges facing Pennsylvania.”
