HARRISBURG -House Republican leaders have announced committee assignments for the 2021-22 Legislative Session, reappointing Rep. Frank Ryan (R-Lebanon) to the Aging and Older Adult Services, Finance, State Government, and Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness committees.
The committees provide legislative oversight in their specific areas of responsibility and work to vet, strengthen and advance legislation for consideration in the House.
“It has been a privilege to serve on these committees and I am happy for the opportunity to continue my work over the next two years,” said Ryan. “As a certified public accountant, my committee work has enabled me to initiate plans to improve our Commonwealth’s financial condition. I have also worked to introduce common sense measures to streamline and improve the way state government operates while also protecting the interests of veterans and older Pennsylvanians.
“We are bracing for another challenging budget this year, which has been exacerbated by the pandemic. Lives have been disrupted and many businesses, families and individuals are experiencing financial hardship. I will continue my work to keep businesses open, residents working and our children in school. I am also working to fix flaws in our election system and will continue my work to eliminate property taxes and adopt meaningful fiscal reforms,” Ryan said.
