HARRISBURG – Rep. Carrie Lewis DelRosso (R-Allegheny/Westmoreland) has been appointed by Chairman Jerry Knowles (R-Berks/Carbon/Schuylkill) to serve as secretary of the House Urban Affairs Committee during the 2021-22 Legislative Session.

“I am honored to serve in a leadership capacity, especially so early in my first term. Since a good portion of the district is urban, I’m excited to use a greater role to benefit urban areas of the district and the Commonwealth,” Lewis DelRosso said. “This is a great opportunity to use my time in Harrisburg for the benefit of those at home.”

The Urban Affairs Committee considers legislation affecting cities of all sizes, including housing, urban redevelopment, economic development, land use planning and zoning, growth management, infrastructure financing, and city services such as police, fire, sewage and water.

The 33rd District covers part of Allegheny County and consists of the townships of East Deer, Frazer, Harmar, Harrison (part), Indiana and Springdale and the boroughs of Brackenridge, Cheswick, Oakmont, Springdale and Tarentum and part of Westmoreland County consisting of the cities of Arnold and New Kensington.
