HARRISBURG – The House voted on Wednesday afternoon to pass several code bills which serve as the final pieces of the 2016-17 budget. Today’s votes complete this year’s budget process and ensure that schools and human service agencies will continue to remain operational and not be threatened with a prolonged impasse.

Rep. Dave Millard (R-Berwick) issued the following statement after the vote:

“I am glad, after several weeks of hard work by all parties involved, that the 2016-17 budget has been brought to a conclusion. This was achieved without broad-based tax increases and includes critical funding increases for education, restores cuts to agriculture programs and provides resources to fight Pennsylvania’s opioid epidemic.”
