            WHAT:   The House Education Committee, chaired by Rep. Curt Sonney (R-Erie), will hold a voting meeting to consider four proposals on a variety of education topics. They include measures that would permit charter schools and area career and technical schools to enter into dual enrollment agreements with institutions of higher learning (
House Bill 358); create the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Investment Incentive Program (
House Bill 602); require CTE certifications on high school student transcripts (
House Bill 1013); and require a school district to permit a home school student to participate in co-curriculum activities and area career and technical education programs (
House Bill 1041).
