WHAT: The House Gaming Oversight Committee, led by Rep. John Payne (R-Dauphin), will hold a public hearing on two pieces of legislation that deal with Pennsylvania’s problem gambling assistance and local enforcement of illegal gaming:

House Bill 1887, sponsored by Rep. Jason Ortitay (R-Washington/Allegheny), would require the Pennsylvania Department of Health to maintain one toll-free gambling assistance number, which all Pennsylvania casinos must use.
•
House Bill 1925, sponsored by Rep. James R. Santora (R-Delaware), would require unused Local Law Enforcement Grant (LLEG) program funds to be annually transferred to the Compulsive and Problem Gambling Treatment Fund. The LLEG program provides grants to law enforcement to combat illegal gambling.
