HARRISBURG – Today, Rep. Adam Harris (R-Franklin/Juniata/Mifflin) commends Gov. Tom Wolf for his decision to allow the supplemental budget that was presented to him on March 16 to become law. The budget will spend $30 billion without requiring any tax increases. Following the governor’s budget announcement, Harris released the following statement:

“By allowing the supplemental budget passed by the House and the Senate to become law, the governor enabled restorations to many services and programs in the Commonwealth. Finally Pennsylvania will support its top industry, which is agriculture, by funding agriculture extension offices. Children will be able to enjoy the plentiful benefits of participating in 4-H.

“I thank the governor for his realization that extending these budget negotiations would hurt the people of the Commonwealth. Now that the 2015-16 budget has been finalized, I am prepared to begin working on the 2016-17 budget in hopes of avoiding such a lengthy process this year.”
