WHAT: The House Children and Youth Committee, led by Rep. Kathy Watson (R-Bucks/144th), will convene a public hearing on legislation she is sponsoring to create a child advocate ombudsman. Under the measure, House Bill 1311, the office would be housed within the Office of the Attorney General.

WHO: Watson and members of the committee. Those expected to offer testimony will include Frank Cervone, executive director, Support Center for Child Advocates; Brian Bornman, Pennsylvania Children and Youth Administrators; Larry Breitenstein, assistant professor and social work program coordinator, Slippery Rock University; and Sean McCormack, chief deputy district attorney, Dauphin County.

WHEN: Tuesday, June 19, 9 a.m.

WHERE: Room 205, Ryan Office Building, Capitol Complex, Harrisburg.
