WHAT:    House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Rep. David H. Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata), Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia), and other lawmakers will host a hearing titled “Making Senior Living Affordable” to examine the financial pressures threatening the stability of Pennsylvania’s nursing homes and long-term care facilities. The hearing will focus on rising operational costs, Medicaid reimbursement challenges, workforce pressures, and the importance of maintaining access to quality care for Pennsylvania seniors.

WHO:    Testifiers will include Charles Schlauch, administrator, Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center; Angela Zaydon, director of government affairs, Pennsylvania Health Care Association; and Zach Shamberg, chief of government affairs, Saber Healthcare Group.
