WHAT: Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) and Rep. Pat Harkins (D-Erie) will announce the introduction of bipartisan legislation to help address the threat of lead in drinking water in Pennsylvania’s schools. Since the Flint, Michigan, drinking water disaster, data shows that Pennsylvania tops the list of states for elevated lead levels in school and day care drinking water. This legislation will help address this threat, and if passed, set some of the strongest safeguards of their kind in the nation.
