Barrar, House Committee to Vote on Bill to Fund Emergency Response System

WHAT: Rep. Steve Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will hold a committee meeting to vote on three bills:

• House Bill 859 would provide for a sunset reauthorization of the Commonwealth’s 911 system under Title 35.
• House Bill 807 would amend Title 51 by establishing that Pennsylvania National Guard general officer pay shall be uniform with the Federal Department of Defense pay scale for general officers.
• House Bill 807 would amend Title 51 by placing the Pennsylvania Civil Air Patrol under the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs for administrative support purposes.
