WARREN — Rep. Kathy L. Rapp (R-Warren/Crawford/Forest), Republican chair of the House Health Committee, announced the committee approved a bill that would ban non-compete agreements in health care employment contracts. House Bill 1633 now includes an amendment that excludes employers under certain conditions in sixth-, seventh- and eighth-class counties, which includes Warren, Crawford and Forest counties. House Bill 1633 now heads to the full House for consideration.

On March 23, Vice President Kamala Harris announced the formation of The White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention. They claim the office will identify a number of new executive actions and assist in coordinated efforts with local and state officials to identify and prevent individuals who could be considered a risk to themselves or others from possessing firearms.

HARRISBURG –State Sen. Gene Yaw (R-23) and State Rep. Clint Owlett (R-68) today announced $550,000 in state funding has been awarded to two Tioga County projects through Pennsylvania’s Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA). HARRISBURG – Five grants totaling nearly $880,000 are headed to five Clearfield County municipalities for use in improving infrastructure, according to state Rep. Dallas Kephart (R-Clearfield/Cambria). Philipsburg Borough in Centre County also approached Kephart specifically and was awarded nearly $310,000.
