HARRISBURG – Rep. Zach Mako (R-Lehigh/Northampton) and Sen. Nick Miller (D-Lehigh/Northampton) today announced more than $515,000 in Local Share Account grants from gaming revenues were awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to projects within Northampton and Lehigh counties.

WHAT: The Number Nine Road bridge which crosses a tributary of the West Branch of the Susquehanna River in Susquehanna Township, Cambria County, will be renamed the Petty Office Iral William Stoltz Memorial Bridge. Stoltz, who was born in West Carroll Township, was one of eleven sailors killed in action in 1941 when the USS Kearny was attacked by a wolfpack of German U-Boats while escorting a convoy.

Wentling Announces Grant Funding for Mercer County Nonprofit

HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced that Helping Hands Ministries will be receiving a sizeable grant from the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP). The money is for organizations to establish or expand substance use disorder (SUD) services, community outreach and education to underrepresented and minority communities struggling with the opioid overdose crisis.
