HARRISBURG – Oil Creek Titusville Lines Inc. received a $140,000 grant for rail freight improvements, said Reps. Lee James (R-Venango/Butler) and Kathy Rapp (R-Warren/Crawford/Forest). The grant will improve operations by extending a passing siding by 1,000 feet.

HARRISBURG – Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) has been appointed as the first woman chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee by Speaker Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) for the 2021-22 session. Boback was recently sworn into her eighth term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Tim Hennessey (R-Chester/Montgomery) to his second consecutive term as chairman of the House Transportation Committee. Hennessey was also reappointed to the House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee, a committee he has served on for many years and previously chaired.

HARRISBURG – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), in consultation with the Treasury Department, has announce that the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) will re-open the week of Jan. 11 for new borrowers and certain existing PPP borrowers. To promote access to capital, initially only community financial institutions will be able to make First Draw PPP Loans on Monday, Jan. 11, and Second Draw PPP Loans on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
