HARRISBURG – The Borough of Jim Thorpe secured a low-interest loan of more than $4.2 million from the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) to replace outdated water mains today, according to Rep. This funding will be used to construct a new, 5,800-foot-long water main under Center Avenue, replacing two existing mains that are more than 100 years old.
