York County Delegation Supports Legislation to Reduce the Size of General Assembly

HARRISBURG – The state House voted this week in favor of two bills which would reduce the size of the General Assembly, members of the York County Republican House Delegation today said. Reps. Seth Grove (R-Dover), Stan Saylor (R-Red Lion), Mike Regan (R-Dillsburg), Keith Gillespie (R-Hellam), Kate Klunk (R-Hanover) and Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York Township), all voted in favor of House Bills 153 and 384, which would ultimately reduce the membership of the state House from 203 to 151 and the Senate membership from 50 to 37, respectively.

Tallman Supports Bill to Fund, Update Pennsylvania’s 911 System

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Will Tallman (R-Adams/Cumberland) joined the majority of his colleagues Monday in moving to the state Senate bipartisan legislation that would more sufficiently fund Pennsylvania’s 911 emergency calling system and update the necessary technology to bring it into the 21st Century. House Bill 911 passed by a 134-59 margin.

Reed voted in favor of House Bills 153 and 384, which would ultimately reduce the membership of the state House from 203 to 151 and the Senate membership from 50 to 37, respectively.

Saccone Votes to Reduce Size of Pennsylvania Legislature

HARRISBURG – Rep. Rick Saccone (R-Allegheny/Washington) voted on Wednesday to allow residents of the Commonwealth to vote on a constitutional amendment to reduce the size of the state’s General Assembly. The legislation passed the House and now awaits action in the Senate.

Krieger Selected to Chair Subcommittee on Courts

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Tim Krieger (R-Delmont) announced today that he has been selected to chair the Subcommittee on Courts of the Judiciary Committee in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Krieger was appointed to replace former Rep. Glen Grell (R-Cumberland) who resigned from the House on April 30 to serve as the new executive director of the Public School Employees’ Retirement System.
