HARRISBURG – The House on Tuesday passed legislation which closes a loophole that allows certain types of harassment in labor disputes. House Bill 874, which would remove exemptions in the Crimes Code that permit harassment, stalking, and threatening to use weapons of mass destruction, passed by a 109-84 margin.

HARRISBURG – Rep. Rick Saccone (R-Allegheny/Washington) today voted in favor of House Bill 874, legislation that would close a loophole that has permitted parties in labor disputes to engage in stalking, harassment and threats of violence. Greiner (R-Upper Leacock) that would remove the requirement that any cost-of-living-adjustment (COLA) be made retroactive to the last COLA. By removing this mandate, House Bill 239 aims to protect taxpayers from excessive tax increases and reinforce local control of county pension boards.

HARRISBURG – One of America’s largest outpourings of national grief occurred when Abraham Lincoln died on April 15, 1865. One week later, on April 21, his nine-car funeral train steamed out of Washington, D.C., stopping in the Pennsylvania cities of York, Harrisburg and Philadelphia, for what became one of most historic train journeys in American history. Lincoln’s open coffin was placed in state at the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from the evening of April 21 through the morning of April 22.
