WHAT: The House State Government Committee will conclude its months-long series of hearings on Pennsylvania’s election process by receiving testimony from stakeholders and members of the General Assembly. The committee began the dauting task of diving deeper into the election process in January when it held the first of 10 hearings. The aim of the hearings is to review all aspects of the process to create a bill to modernize the Commonwealth’s elections, which are being run on a law from 1937.

Kail Reintroduces Commonwealth’s COVID Comeback

House Bill 491, sponsored by Rep. Karen Boback, excludes veterans benefits/pension funds as income for state benefit programs that have an income qualification threshold. House Bill 803, sponsored by Rep. Tim O’Neal, establishes the Keystone State Challenge Academy for the Pennsylvania National Guard Youth Challenge program.
