House Bill 2388, passed by the House with bipartisan support, would allow several sectors of the state’s economy to resume under current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.
“Our state is facing an unemployment crisis like we have never seen in our lifetimes, and hope we never see again,” House Majority Leader Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) said. “Our employers and business owners recognize we’ve all made changes to our daily lives to flatten the curve and protect ourselves and loved ones from COVID-19. They have only asked for the same opportunity to change their businesses as well.”
After an amendment in the Senate, House Bill 2388 would allow the following industries to resume in Pennsylvania:
• Vehicle dealers.
• Manufacturing operations.
• Lawn and garden centers.
• Salons and barber shops.
• Messenger services.
• Animal groomers.
