Leadbeter to Hold Press Conference on Aiden’s Law

WHAT: Continuing his commitment to protecting Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable citizens, Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia) will hold a press conference to provide an update on Aiden’s Law (House Bill 2102), an initiative he is spearheading to create a Purple Alert system in the Commonwealth. Similar to Amber Alert for abducted children, Silver Alert for missing older adults and Green Alert for missing at-risk veterans, the Purple Alert system would rapidly notify the public and law enforcement when an individual with certain cognitive, intellectual or developmental disabilities goes missing.

Leadbeter to Introduce Legislation to Promote Long-Term Success for Youth in Foster Care

HARRISBURG – To improve the futures of Columbia County’s and Pennsylvania’s youth, state Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia) announced he will soon be introducing the Foster Youth Earned Benefits Protection for Success Act to ensure children in foster care receive, protect and build upon the federal benefits they have earned without losing them to offset costs associated with state care.

Williams Appointed to National Veterans Affairs Task Force

HARRISBURG – Rep. Craig Williams (R-Chester/Delaware) announced state House Speaker Joanna McClinton has appointed him to serve as a member of the National Conference of State Legislatures’ (NCSL) Military and Veterans Affairs Task Force. The appointment places Williams among a select group of lawmakers from across the country who work together on bipartisan policy issues affecting veterans, service members and their families.
