Christiana Says Proposed Shale Tax Will Kill PA Jobs

Representatives of Pennsylvania’s business and manufacturing sectors joined Rep. Jim Christiana (R-Beaver/Washington) Monday in Harrisburg to urge legislative leaders and Gov. Tom Wolf to take a job-killing shale tax off the table during final negotiations on the state budget revenue plan. Christiana said the proposed shale gas tax would risk the future of billions in petrochemical facility investments and jeopardize the creation of thousands of Pennsylvania jobs.
