WHAT: The House Manufacturing Caucus, chaired by Rep. Donna Oberlander (R-Clarion/Armstrong/Forest), and the House Cement Caucus, chaired by Rep. Marcia Hahn (R-Northampton), will host a factory tour as a way to educate their colleagues about the cement and concrete industry.
WHO: Oberlander; Hahn (R-Northampton); and members of the Manufacturing and Cement Caucuses. They will be hosted by officials with Lehigh Cement Company, which manufactures and supplies a variety of cements, covering a range of ordinary portland cement for traditional uses as well as white cement, masonry products, custom-colored, blended and slag cements. The company was founded in 1897 and is considered one of the leading providers of cement in the United States. This tour is part of the House’s #GoodJobs4PA legislative package to grow economic development opportunities across the Commonwealth.
